CONCEPT!

We are a small team with big ideas!

Back in 2012, we imagined taking students to sea and made some initial enquiries with schools in Bali as well as a couple of prominent members of the conservation world. Our ideas were met with positive response!

Shortly thereafter, we carried Conservation International to Timore-Leste as the first Indonesian charter vessel to go to Timore-Leste from Indonesia. This was the pivotal moment when our vision of students and scientists working together really revealed itself. It was clear that the scientists could have used more time in their assessment of the reefs and species: what if they were supported by a team of younger aspiring conservationists who could serve as lab assistants? To us the answer was clear, involve students! These students would be those who have worked hard to earn their place onboard and who want to go on to university to pursue their education leading to careers in marine sciences and other similar fields.

Yes, we decided to work out how to bring students and scientists together in the Coral Triangle on board our vessel. This would be a first in Indonesia and Asia!

Now, we imagine running an engaging marine focused youth group based in Bali and available to students and youths from all walks. There will be a formal 12 week program with a curriculum provided by Ocean Classrooms in the US. This STEM curriculum will be supported with activities and fellowship from our own Teens4Oceans Indonesia chapter led by GoSeawolf.

At the end of this shore period, the students will have made bonds with their fellow peers and have achieved certification on the Ocean Classrooms curriculum. Also, the students will work towards PADI Open Water certification; and then, with all their new found skills and friends, they will embark on a real time conservation effort with scientists from one of the NGO groups working within the Coral Triangle!

GoSeawolf will facilitate a pivotal role. We will be bringing together the best parts of our own work with the greatest of our ambitions in order to offer a truly unique experience.

Furthermore, GoSeawolf has additional Flagship Sponsorship opportunities for corporate entities or individuals that truly believe in Ocean Conservation and making an impact with the youth of today. Flagship sponsorship would cover the yearly costs of the school in return for vessel branding, special sails, and prominent advertising in print, online, and social media. Please contact us directly through the contact page for this opportunity.

Thank you,
